"Painting to me, is a wonderful, joyous way of expressing my feelings and emotions. We all need creative involvement -- I respond to this need with my watercolors and pastels." Laurese has been studying art and painting for about thirty years. She has completed many semester hours in art at West Texas A&M University. She has also studied with Robert E. Wood, Tom Hill, Leo Smith, zoltan Szabo, Betty Lynch, Judi Betts, Ann Templeton, and local artists, Stefan Kramer, Ben Konis, Dr. Emilio Caballero and David Rindlishbacher. Character studies and floral paintings are Laurese's favorite subjects. Most of the awards she has received were for florals and character studies of the elderly. Her work will be displayed at the Central Library at 4th and Buchanan Streets for the months of November and December. |
