As a resident of Amarillo since 1950, Mr. Jordan has witnessed many changes within the city. Being a photographer who has taken pictures throughout the Panhandle, he realizes that important and visually interesting buildings and objects can disappear in a few days. In 1998, Mr. Jordan decided to document still existing structures from the past whose use has helped to lay the ground work for the city's currently vibrant economy. The exhibit includes photos of Wildhorse Lake, the former Panhandle Lumber Company, Sanborn Park, and others. |
