Purpose
The purpose of this organization shall be
- to maintain a membership interested in books and other library materials
- to create an awareness in the public of the opportunities afforded by the Amarillo Public Library
- to increase library services and facilities
- to focus attention on the needs of the Amarillo Public Library
- to enrich cultural advantages for the citizens of Amarillo and its environs
- and to pursue such other similar objectives as may be adopted from time to time
Activities
The activities of the membership shall include
- the securing of materials which are beyond the library budget
- the sponsoring of discussions, lectures, exhibits, book talks, and children's story hours
- the development of endowments and bequests
- and such other activities as are deemed necessary to achievement of the organization's goals
